The first-ever electric car company Topsun Motors Lahore Launch First Electric Car in Pakistan and ceremony held in Lahore on the inauguration of showroom called Topsun MR Motors at Jail Road, Lahore 3rd January 2020. As earlier it was in the news that Pakistan is about to implement the National Electric Vehicle Police (NEVP) Topsun MR Motors is the result of NEVP. At the inauguration ceremony, the ribbon-cutting was held by Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, the Provincial Minister of Punjab for housing, urban development, and public health engineering along with Malik Riaz, the managing director of Topsun Motors.
Electric Car Launched in Pakistan by Topsun Motors
During the wonderful ceremony, the company introduced 4 different models including a hatchback and three models of JMC shaped. In the ceremony, the 1000CC Zyote’s Z100 hatchback, the first-ever electric car in Pakistan’s local industry was showcased. In JMC series three variants are introduced such as JMC Single Cabin, JMC Double Cabin, JMC Vigus 2.4-litre. Below we’ll share the offered price for all variants launched.

The all above-mentioned cars are engine-based and the prices mentioned are inclusive of withholding tax. Currently, Topsun MR Motors is waiting for the implementation of NEVP before launching an electric-powered variant Z100, which is already available in international markets. The further explained about the electric Z100 car that it has a range of 300 KM on a single battery charge and its price will be PKR 1.9 to 2 million which might reduce based on the NEVP. The Z100 fuel-powered houses 1000cc engine with 5-speed manual transmission. Topsun MR Motors is planning to bring an automatic variant. Currently, all variants are imported as completely built units (CBU) but in the future, these cars will be assembled in Pakistan which surely results in reducing the price.
